I am Cristina the face behind The Art Cake Experience and The Art Cake School. I was born in Venezuela and currently live in Lisbon. Thirteen years ago, I started this path on the sweet side of life by working as a Cake Designer and Gelatin Artist, however I´ve been a teacher for 20 years so my true passion is teaching.
Bringing my two passions together I started teaching gelatin decoration and 3D gelatin art in Portugal in 2013, as well as Cake Design and Sugar Paste Modeling.
Today I have my work display between my blog “The Art Cake Experience” where I share recipes and tutorials as well as an inside look at the use of Social Media for a Cake Business. A YouTube channel with easy to follow tutorials and recipes and an online school where you can find the complete Gelatin Courses both 3D Gelatin Flowers and Decorated Gelatins as well as some other free classes.
I love to teach and to bring the Cake community around the world together as one through true friendship, helping others and learning from one another. I am the creator and administrator of the Cake Friends Stay creative online community on Facebook, which now has over 5000 members from around the world.
I am also curating a customized mentoring program specially design for cake decorators, sugar artists, and bakers to help them be organized, informed and to use social media platforms for their cake businesses, as well as tutorials and classes related to sugar paste modelling, gelatin art and cake decorating.
